SFHDI Awards - And the Winners are...

Each year, HDI (http://thinkhdi.com)  works with local chapters to identify and award the highest honors in the technical service and support profession. The award recognizes the industry's top first-level support analysts and desktop support technicians for their commitment to industry standards, excellent service, and their record of consistently exceeding performance objectives.

HDI San Francisco Bay Area (SFHDI) local chapter celebrated all our nominees Thursday, December 7th at LinkedIn Sunnyvale and announced local chapter winners for Analyst and Desktop Support Technician. Big Thank You to LinkedIn for providing the beautiful space for the Celebration.

In January 2018, SFHDI chapter winners will have an opportunity to compete with their peers regionally.  Each regional winner will be given the opportunity to represent their respective region at the HDI Annual Conference & Expo for the national level.

SFHDI Analyst of the Year

This award recognizes a help desk analyst that exemplifies the best qualities among the practitioners in our region who possess the knowledge and skills required to provide quality service and support for customers.

Russell Feagley  Help Desk Analyst from Lanlogic

Nominating Russell is his manager Amy Thomatis. Here are a few of the things she had to say in the nomination:

Russell as only been with Lanlogic for 2 years and in this time has proven himself to be a valuable asset to the team, not only for his technical skills, but more importantly for the leadership he brings. Russell leads quietly. He completed his A+ certification soon after starting with us, and is now 1 exam away from an MCSE (targeted for completion by the end of the year). When noticed that a couple of staff members could use some help getting through the A+ exam, he took it upon himself to develop his own A+ training curriculum and spends a couple of hours a week training them. Russell also maintains very high customer satisfaction numbers, ticket completion rates, and has met every goal timeframe that he sets for himself.

Russel had these words to say about himself “There is so much more that we do at Lanlogic and every day I always love taking on the new challenge. While pushing myself to earn certifications and work at Lanlogic, I took the next step to apply for school and I have been accepted into the Masters of Science in Information Management at Arizona State University. Outside of work and studying I love to spend time with the love of my life, Danielle, and watching sports.”

SFHDI Desktop Support Technician of the Year

This award is given to a desktop support professional who responds to incidents escalated by the service desk that are related to customer equipment where additional skills, knowledge, tools, or authority are required.

Kaveh Daryabeygi PC Network Technician from Sage Centers

His manager Bryan Brooks says:

Although Kaveh has only been with SAGE a little over 6 months, the positive impact of his work is felt throughout the organization. Since starting at SAGE, Kaveh has been faced with many challenges both technically and through company culture changes. He faces everything with a positive attitude, always has a smile on his face, is highly passionate about technology and is well liked and respected. He is one of those people you can count on to not just meet expectations but exceed them. He thrives on that. Kaveh is the kind of employee every leader/manager desires to have. I am proud to have him on the Technology Services team at SAGE.

Kaveh has these words to say about himself “I am a hardworking individual who is always seeking new challenges, and doesn’t know when to give up. I am a perfectionist, and love technology.”
