The Kanban Method
This session will consist of a short overview of the Kanban methodology, followed by participation in the use of a Kanban simulation, to demonstrate the value and positive impact of the proper use of this technique.
Kanban is a popular framework used by software teams practicing agile software development. It is enormously prominent among today's agile software teams, but the Kanban methodology of work dates back more than 50 years.
Agile software development teams today are able to leverage JIT principles by matching the amount of work in progress (WIP) to the team's capacity. This gives teams more flexible planning options, faster output, clearer focus, and transparency throughout the development cycle.
The get Kanban Board Game is a tabletop simulation designed to teach the concepts and mechanics of Kanban for software development in a class or workshop setting. It's hands-on, engaging, and fun!
